Count Dashula
A downloadable game for Windows
Count Dashula is a platforming game about quickly beating tough levels before you get fried by the Sun, and it's my first fully "finished" game, made over two weeks.
You play as the titular Count Dashula, named that after his mouse-controlled dashing ability, letting him rapidly push forward through obstacles. (Yes, requires keyboard and mouse currently, would love to add controller support later)
As you get better at the levels, you can try to beat the par time and keep trying to improve your best time.
If you play this, I'd love to know what you think! Feel free to comment any feedback. If there's enough people that want to play this I'll release some updates.

The count knows what's up, he will personally drain your blood.
Fun little game, smooth movement mechanics and very clean gameplay. Would love to see more levels that could play around a bit more with the mechanics introduced so far!
In this game you play as the titular Dashula, the fact he can survive so close to the sun implies he is in fact the strongest vampire alive and actually has increased fire resistance, only truly perishing when the sun makes direct contact with him.
This truly implies deep lore as to the origin of Dashula and the sun, and the dualistic philosophy of life and death. I'm not sure what the wooden stakes represent, probably capitalism or something.
Also the jumping and dashing feels nice, and even though it can be kinda hard the game is short enough that it never felt too frustrating. Level design is done in such a way there's often multiple paths which does encourage replayability.
I cheated not only the game, but myself. I didn't grow. I didn't improve. I took a shortcut and gained nothing. I experienced a hollow victory. Nothing was risked and nothing was gained. It's sad that I don't know the difference.
Bro this guy is like dracula but he dashes this is kinda fire ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฅ
